Production planning

On the basis of sales order & historical data, the Production planning process starts. Historical data is the last months, last quarter product sales, or production report. The last finical year's Annual report is also the parameter for Historical data.

The company adds the growth percentage in the last sales report. It is also done by market trends. A product which we use in winter sessions most. So, as per market trends, that product is to produce most before starting the winter session. Sometimes the production planning is also done to make some samples.

To manufacture a finished product, it has a fixed process and fixed raw materials. Every process uses a fixed quantity of raw materials for each product production. Machines, equipment, manpower are also fixed to produce a product in each process.

Standard Formula is the fixed formula to manufacture or produce one product. Standard Formula gives the amount of manpower, raw materials required for production. It gives the number of hours required to block the machine and tools for production.

Production process & subprocess

Product quality check specifications

We conduct quality checks during the production of a product, in each process. This is an in-process quality check. Sometimes we conduct quality checking, after finishing the complete production process. Each quality check process has fixed criteria for passing that step. Materials specifications are those quality checking criteria.

That needs to pass for the successful production of a product. In our ERP software, ERP.BZ we have integrated Materials specification modules. It is the quality parameters of the raw materials, finished goods. Materials specification is also the quality parameters of the semi-finished goods

Details of resource

It keeps the details and features of the resources. The details of resources contain Resource type, Resource availability, running cost, maintenance cost.

Bill of materials

BOM full form is the bill of materials. Bill of materials is the process defined, Before starting the production. Production planning is the main component of the Bill of materials for production. Resource master, considered at the time of making the Bill of materials. A standard formula is also part of the Bill of materials. It crated product unit-wise or batch-wise.

Bill of materials will give the exact quotation or the expanse for the production of a batch or lot. In our ERP software vERP we have integrated the bill of materials features. The entire process of the bill of materials is the autocompleting solution. If you select a product for production, it auto compute the list of raw materials. We get costs of all resources and raw materials to the production planning sheet.

Contractor Management

Most of the industries produce 90% of the work in-house for finished goods production. A third-party contractor from outside does 10% of work for finished goods production. In in-house production, some of the production manpower are from contractors. This manpower is on the payroll of the contractor but they work for the main production company.

The contractor gets Payment for this manpower on the basis of production output. In our ERP Software, vERP we have integrated a contractor management module. From this module, you will get details of the contactor, manpower details. You will get their respective output and payment.

Demand Slip

We create demand slips after the completion of the planning process. Demand slip auto-generated according to the bill of materials. From the bill of materials, you will get a list of the raw materials. Required quantity to complete the production process of a finished product.

Automatic creation of demand slip, it goes to production store to issue the materials. Then it goes to the main store if the item is not available in the production store. In our ERP Software, vERP we have integrated demand slip features. From this, you will get details of the raw materials required along with a quotation of the items.

Issue Slip

After completion of the demand process, the store, inventory department issue the items. Item issue slip auto-generated on the basis of demand slip for production. The item issue completes based on the availability of the items. The issue in full or part issue completed depending on the stock availability.

If the required stock is not available then it goes to purchase requisition. The purchase requisition and item indent bot are the same. In our ERP Software, vERP we have integrated issue slip features. From the issue slip, you will get details of the stock availability and you can issue the items part or in full.

Production Release

The production release process starts after getting all the required raw materials. Resources and tools are also part of the production release. In this process, the main resources used are the machine or bin, or furnace. The production process has many subprocesses and it varies from product to product.

In-Process Quality Check (QC).

In some product manufacturing, you need to do in-process quality checking. In-process testing is the part that checks a particular batch. It will inform whether that batch will produce the perfect result as required. In-process testing is the process to add new raw materials in a process of manufacturing.

Receive from Production

You need to receive the items or products from the production process. You can do production receive every day, batch-wise or completion of production. You can do receive from production on the basis of resource-wise. You can do receive from employee, machine, bin or contractor wise.

Final Quality Checking

Final QC, the full form is quality checking. You can do the QC on the items or products you have received in the previous stage. After receiving the products from the productions department, you can do the QC on the sample of data. It checks whether that product or item is perfect for sales or it is defective. You can send the materials to the next stage after successful Quality Checks. After the quality check, the next stage is the packaging process.

You can send defective or rejected materials for re-production or in the scrap. In our ERP Software, vERP we have integrated Final QC full form is quality checking features. Using this you can do the final quality check on the items you have received from production. Materials specification for finished items is the quality checking parameter.

Item Packaging

You can do item packaging after the completion of the quality checking process. In this stage, you can pack the item as per the bill of materials for the packaging process. Manufacturing related information label printed in the package.
